Giacomo Abbruzzese
Born in 1983 in Taranto, Southern Italy, he lives and works between France and Italy.
His frst feature flm, Disco Boy, a France-Italy-Belgium-Poland coproduction starring Franz Rogowski, won a Silver Bear at the Berlinale. Nominated for the David di Donatello and the César Awards, it was released in more than 40 countries.
A former artist-in-residence at the Cannes Cinéfondation, his films spanning fiction, documentary and short formats: have been selected and awarded at numerous international festivals, including MoMA's New Directors/New Films, Hong Kong, Sarajevo, Guadalajara, Mar del Plata, Istanbul, Melbourne, Clermont-Ferrand, and the Viennale, and have reached international audiences through theatrical releases, television and digital platforms, including Canal+, Arte, France Télévisions, Sky Arte and SVT.
He is a member of the Académie des César, the David di Donatello, and the European Film
Academy.

Agostino Gambino
Agostino Gambino was born in Rome on November 20,
2001.
In 2022, he founded and became the director of the Polis
Festival, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rome, a
cultural festival of cinema, held for 30 consecutive days in
public squares.
Between 2020 and 2024, he took part in the production of
student and university short films.
In 2024, he worked as assistant director on the RAI national
television documentary “Il tempo del futurismo”.
In 2024, he founded Cine-Polis, the winter cineclub of the
Polis Festival, in collaboration with the Cineteca di
Bologna.
Since 2024, he has been appointed by the Municipality of
Rome as General Coordinator of the Youth Cultural Center
of Rome's Second District.
In 2025, he directed his debut short film, La notte della luna
fertile, with the support and participation of Visionarte,
Fondazione Giorgio De Chirico, Insideart, Fondazione
Orestiadi, the Municipality of Gibellina, LaserFilm, and
students from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia.
